How To Play
Registration
The first thing you need to do is register for an account with QuizBay.com, so we, and you, can keep track of your scores. Simply click here and fill out the simple registration form which requires your email address and a password so that you can login to QuizBay.com to obtain maximum benefit from all the features you have at your disposal.
Choosing A Quiz
Once you have registered, playing QuizBay.com quizzes really couldn't be any easier. Simply click on one of the quiz menu options within the right hand navigation or access the full list of quizzes from the 'Quizzes' page. On clicking one of the links, you will be asked if you want to take the quiz or have a choice of any sub-categories (which are more specific quiz areas under the general category i.e. Football being a specific area under the general classification of Sport).
You then need to choose what difficulty level you would like to tackle, whether it is Easy, Medium or Hard. Once you have chosen the category, you will need to choose how many questions you would like to face. On choosing how many questions you would like to face, you will be presented (in brackets) with the amount of time you have to complete that particular quiz. This could range from 1 minute to 5 minutes, depending on the difficulty of the quiz and how many questions you are answering.
On starting the quiz, you will be presented with a list of 5 or 10 questions per page, with the time limit for the quiz counting down on the right hand side of the page. The time limit will always be displayed and shows you how long you have left to complete the quiz. If you do not complete the quiz in time, a screen will pop up in front of you saying that your time has run out and will ask you to continue to submit your score.
All of the questions that you will face are multiple choice, these are based on a standard question an answer format. Some of the questions will display an image, audio clip or video clip that you will be asked a question about. On the audio and video clips, simply click on the play button within control strip that is displayed within the question and you will see/hear the clip associated with the question. You can of course stop the clip at any time once you know the answer to save precious time. Please make sure though that you stop one clip from playing before you move on to the next question otherwise it could hinder you from hearing or viewing the next clip properly.
On answering all of the questions on the page, you will need to click 'Continue to Next Page' at the bottom of the page after all of the questions.
Your results
On completing all of the questions, you will need to click 'Get Results!'. You will then be shown your results, which breaks down as follows:
Quiz Taken: Displays the name of the quiz
Quiz Difficulty: Displays the difficulty level
Total Questions Answered: Displays the number of questions you have attempted
Percentage Correct: Displays the percentage of correct answers that you have given
Points you have earned: Displays the total number of points you have earned
On the results page, you will also be shown all of the questions you have answered, noting which answers you chose and whether they were right or wrong. Correct answers are displayed in 'green' and wrong answers are displayed in 'red'.
Points Scoring and Percentages Explained
Points are allocated in the following way:
1 point for every correct answer on 'Easy' level
2 points for every correct answer on 'Medium' level
3 points for every correct answer on 'Hard' level
Your score is also worked out as a percentage of correct answers that you have given from the total questions in the quiz you have taken.
What to do next...
Once you have finished playing for the day, why not check out how you have got on over all of the quizzes you have taken, by clicking on 'Your Account' in the top right hand corner of the page. Here you can see your results from all of the quizzes you have taken and by clicking on the quiz section within your own leaderboard, you can see the full results page for each of the quizzes you have taken, including your right and wrong answers.
